Privacy Policy
First things first: I am a private person in many respects. I do not like to provide my personal information to anyone for any reason, primarily because I inevitably end up on some mailing list I never requested. Adding me to any mailing list, whether it be email or snailmail is a highly presumptuous act which I find inappropriate at every level.
For this reason, I’m quite sensitive to the fact that most web sites these days require accounts and accounts require some form of personal information, even if it’s just your email address. I would prefer this not be the case, but most software that runs web sites requires user accounts in order to function.
The software I use here at 11Mystics.com is no exception. I use two pieces of software: WordPress, which powers all my content and and aMember which manages access to purchased products. Both applications control user activity via user accounts. I’ve configured these applications to request only the very minimal amount of information possible, but they still ask for first name, last name and an email address. No other information about you is ever requested or stored in your account. This information is stored in a database that is highly secure. Both applications have superior development support. I keep them updated with the latest security updates.
Your personal information (name and email address) are never used for purposes outside of identifying your account. I do not harvest this information in any way. I do not send unsolicited emails. I do not and will not sell email lists to anyone. All of this is, in my book, is inappropriate use of private information. I do use your information to appropriately greet you via email by using your name. I verify your account using your email address. I respond to you via your email address if you’ve written to me.
