Live Example: Mr. Friend

Hey folks, I have a new category in my blog. It’s Live Examples! I’m going to be featuring some of the sites you guys are building. I try to keep up with the list on my Live Examples page but some of those sites are so good in there that they should really be called out as great examples of what you can do with these themes.

The first site I’m going to throw out here for you is a site created by high school teacher Chris Friend. Chris built his site using my Tabouli theme for RapidWeaver and did a knock-out job maximizing the clean look of this theme. He’s used headings well and placed imagery on the pages that keeps the eye busy without being distracted. He keeps the amount of information on any given page to a minimum which encourags the visitor to read it (!) and keeps them clicking to new pages.

Overall, this is a fantastic implementation of Tabouli and Chris says, “I’ve been using this theme for a little over a year now, and it’s rocking my world. My friends think it’s the coolest thing; my students can actually find content because of the inherently clean organization; their parents think I’m the most amazing teacher ever. Good stuff, all around.”
