It’s Ready
Hello folks. I’ve got good news today – the Tabouli PRO update is ready. You can log in to your account and download it now. This version is labeled 4.0 to keep in line with Rapidweaver’s release number, although I don’t believe you have to have RW 4 to use this version of the theme. Correct me if I’m wrong, but I believe I had it working on 3.6 as well.
Please review this article to learn about all the new features of Tabouli PRO.
Please keep a back-up copy of your old version of Tabouli if you think you may hate the new one :)
Thank You
First a sincere thank you to all of you who contributed so much in terms of ideas and test feedback. Your collaboration is the best part about all this and we all end up with something we really like in the end. So thank you, again.
Demos
Going forward, the Tabouli PRO demo and the Tabouli Standard demo will be separated. I do have an update for the standard version, but I won’t get to that until later this week.
Tabouli PRO Architecture Change
If you caught my last post about Tabouli, you know that I tossed out all of the images that produced the round corners. The new version of Tabouli produces round corners using CSS which 1) makes for a significantly lighter theme in terms of bandwidth and 2) allows you to specify any color tabs you want. Previously you were limited to the colors I created for you. Right now, CSS round corners ARE supported by everyone except Microsoft and Opera. In IE and Opera, the corners will appear square, at least until they start supporting round corners too.
Options
Okay, here’s the dealio with options. I’ve received a lot of feedback about this topic. The conclusion we all seem to draw here is that RW options are a double-edged sword. On one hand, options make a theme highly customizable and everyone wants that. On the other hand, they can bloat the code to a certain degree because every option requires its own CSS file. Hum…
Listening to all your feedback and I’ve trimmed out numerous options and left only those that were most desirable. With that said, there are still countless options including over 120 color options :-O
The following images are images of the theme’s options inspector. I’ve broken the options into logical sections to make management of your style easier. Intuitively I, and every single tester, forgets to click the section headings in this inspector. You’ll think it’s just a heading, but it’s not – there are options in there too! So click those.
The images should illustrate every option available.

Features Discovered for iWeb 3.0?
Sneak Peek: Auckland for iWeb

FYI – I have posted another update to the theme to fix some IE7 issues that cropped up with recent fixes to that browser. The update was posted Thursday at 7PM central US time (-5 gmt) so if you downloaded a copy prior to that time, you might want to get the new one.
There will probably be additional fixes as everyone applies the theme and begins to work with it. It always amazes me what thorough testing does NOT reveal :-/
Onward.
Though I’m not a very rapid weaver myself, this is a fairly comprehensive set of alterations you got here :)
My insatiable need to “see if I can do it” seems to leak into these things ;-)
Thanks so much for the update too the theme! I really looking forward to playing around with it.
An announcement of this update just now made it to a RapidWeaver forum. Thanks so much for the update and all the new twists you included.
