Short and sweet on this one because I’m in the middle of rebuilding a huge portion of my site right now. I still can’t publish in iWeb so I have to blow away everything that’s hosted there on .Mac… which includes my screenshots and the store page. Hope to get that done soon because….

Italian Tile Theme Complete

I have Italian Tile ready to go. It’s in test and provided no one reports any obvious issues, you should see this as soon as I have the store page rebuilt. This version of Italian Tile will not be a part of the free bees anymore. I’m building a new set of free themes for 2.0. When you see Italian tile, you’ll understand why. This is by far the most complex and texture-rich theme I’ve ever created. It’s warm and earthy and looks really, impressive for iWeb. I even figured out some advanced stuff in this one so you’re getting a lot of the best features.

Frames

I’ve been working with Hac for some time on a Frame Manager. iWeb’s new approach to frames is interesting to say the least. Did you know iWeb shipped with somewhere in the neighborhood of 72 frame styles? :-O You can only see 12 at one time however. Why I’m not sure, but it has to do with the fact that they’re using pop-up style selection windows that aren’t really supposed to be scrolling dialogs. Therefore, what they’ve done is created a plist that dictates which 12 of the 72 frames you’ll see for every given theme.

I’ve figured out how to build a frame - it’s not easy. In fact it’s a royal pain in the rear-end. But unless we can get a frame manager that will allow you to insert it into your list, we’re kind of stuck. Previous attempts at this on my G5 Leopard machine have failed. So if and when we can get that all set up, then I’ll have more to say about frames.

Stationery

Okay stationery… there isn’t enough time in the day. I have a very slick method for producing stationery. It’s just a matter of having the time to do it. I won’t be doing this until the new year. I just have too many irons in the fire at the moment.

Softwhite Vertical Navigation Bug

I believe this is the last of the bugs I have open. The vertical navigation menu in the 2.0 version of Softwhite does not render correctly when you hover over the menu item. I have to test some alternate code for this. Safari three likely introduced this issue as it did not exist when I created the theme prior to Leopard’s arrival :-/
