    • Sorry, nothing related for this entry...

Okay people, this is a preparatory note here for some things that are coming in the next week or two. I have been buried with what seems like hundreds of little (what I call) nit noid things… bug reports, feature requests, theme requests, iWeb usability and strangely enough, an onslaught of questions about editing XML. Someone must have posted a link to my site about that because suddenly one day I started getting questions about editing XML that have not stopped since.

So this is just an FYI notice that over the coming days I may be posting a significant number of entries as all this stuff comes to fruition. If you haven’t already, you might want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you get each and every entry as it arrives. If you have the new Leopard operating system, you can subscribe to blog feeds right in your email. That’s what I do and I’ve never been more up to date on all the news in my life.

If you prefer getting the entries via actual emails (not just a feed in email, although I’m not sure how that’s much different) you can use the Subscribe function in the sidebar. That’s handled through Feedburner.

Now, I have new themes coming, some free themes, theme updates for both iWeb and RW, theme news, frame news, videos, education, etc, etc, etc. You can help me out by not writing and asking what all that is :) Just get your RSS set up. The first notices should begin within hours.

Here’s a sneak peak to get you interested.

Welcome

  • Yep, subscribed in RSS through Mail. Got the notice!

I agree, I have never been so up-to-date with my news.

Looking forward to all the announcements.

  • Sweet on the Italian Tile update. I can’t wait..

  • Hey Kari, Is that the Mailroom template that is as of yet unreleased on your site? Very cool.

  • Mailroom is about ready as well Brian - she’s testing it for me. I have not solved my iWeb problem. It crashes on me whenever I attempt to publish. I originally thought this had something to do with the fact that I’m publishing to a different .Mac account than the one that’s tied to my user account on my Mac, but testing that theory, it proved wrong.

I don’t know what the issue is, but right now, I can’t publish with iWeb and I’ve been too busy with Rapidweaver updates and iWeb updates to dig into that issue. Therefore I have a few people testing things for me so I can see them in action. Comments are the one thing that can only be viewed once published unfortunately and the Mailroom theme is unique… it poses certain challenges for comments on the Photo, Blog and Podcast pages.

I have to rebuild my store, all my screenshot page and some other stuff before I can blow away my iWeb-based pages. Then I should be able to test again.

  • I noticed the Keynote folks at Jumsoft just released iWeb themes…. perhaps that’s where the questions were coming from :)

  • Jumsoft? Didn’t they do some themes way back when and then suddenly disappeared? Or am I confusing them with someone else. Getting old, can’t remember.

  • Oops! I didn’t realize my profile was jumping to that page. It is really not ready for prime time yet, just testing pages.

  • Hi Suzanne, i’m buying this when its ready, cannot wait,

    thanks ken

  • Sorry I missed the Kari’s test of the Mailroom template, but she’s now using the Italian Tile template and, OMG, it rocks!!! Awesome job on that, Suz. If Mailroom is that exciting, I may seriously consider getting that and re-doing my entire site!

Your work never ceases to amaze me, Suz!

  • Mailroom is fun and quirky, Italian Tile is rich and elegant. Both are great!

Where iWeb makes it easy to put together a website, Suzanne’s themes make it FUN!

  • Kari got me a nice list of little things to tidy up and then Italian Tile will be ready. I really think this is my best work to date.

I’m in the middle of all kinds of site work at the moment… and yesterday I took a lot of time to assess other commerce options. Ugh. That’s a never-ending dilemma. I’m trying to get all that tidied up while I move stuff back into WordPress. I only want to make changes like this once or twice a year.

Christmas is at my house this year as well so things are moving a bit slowly at the moment :-\
