It’s Ready!
Softwhite is a unique theme in that it uses semi-transparent page backgrounds that allow the color of the browser background to show through. The default color is an aqua blue gradient, but the theme includes numerous other gradients you can apply. See the demo for examples. You can also pick a solid color using the page inspector.
The Welcome page includes a vertical navigation menu – this is the only theme that has one. There are certain limitations to using a vertical navigation menu. I’ve created a screencast that explains this in great detail so you might want to check that out if you’re considering this theme.
Please note that Softwhite uses PNG images to produce the semi-transparent page effect. Internet Explorer 6 for PC’s cannot display PNG images so if your visitors tend to use that browser, this would not be a wise choice for your site.
