Hello folks – Okay I’ve been deep into these issues we’re seeing with Solingo and the “won’t save the page” problem. There were two things I did differently with Solingo and scientifically speaking, I should have only introduced one new thing instead of two. Now it’s very hard to know which of the two ultimately caused the issue.
I was not able to determine the problem causing the content on the pages to disappear after saving and closing iWeb. This is either due to the fact I used a new base template (white) or that I used the custom layout techniques or a combination of the two. Up until now I’ve been using the Modern Frame theme as the base theme for my new themes and that theme did not produce these kinds of issues at all. However, I didn’t use the custom layout techniques with that either… except for a bit on Foshay.
So, having said that, I started to rebuild Solingo, Arcturus and Softwhite with the original Modern Frame base theme. Bah. I’m going to release Arcturus and Softwhite like I released Aerolite and the others, without the custom layouts for now because, until I can determine where the issue stems from, I think that approach causes problems. After I have a basic 2.0 version out of all the themes, then you at least have that. Then I will swing through all themes again to add some of the features and possible the custom layouts if I can figure it out.
This problem that Solingo revealed has been frustrating to say the least. One of the best features of a new theme is the ability to have new, creative layouts and I’m not happy having to create themes that use these boring layouts. Ugh. However, I’m going to assume this can be figured out. I’m just going to finish the themes though and then swing back to do that. I’ll try to get these last themes out within the next 10 days. Arcturus and Softwhite first. Ecuador next. Free themes after that. Watch for Arcturus today possibly.

UGH! Well, I guess that’s what you get for making cooler crap than the people who are responsible for the app to begin with, eh? I know that doesn’t ease the pain, but suffice it to say that I think we are all in your corner and committed to 11Mystics – your stuff is worth the wait. I know it is for me. Everyday I literally turn on Firefox and go right to the RSS feed in my toolbar to see what the latest is from 11Mystics Command Central!
Hang in there, buddy! We ain’t going anywhere!

Oh you are the best Deane :) Thanks for the support – I appreciate that a lot. I don’t mind a bit of a challenge to create this stuff, but it really seems like there are huge roadblocks in the software to make this incredibly difficult. It shouldn’t have to be that way. Just frustrating!
I only JUST experienced Solingo-go. I had thought it was the update to 2.0.2, so was just checking your page to see if it’s so. Unfortunately, it’s something far more diabolical and having been inside the XML with you on a recon mission, trying to find where the problem is CAN be daunting. BUT if anyone can de-daunt it, it’s you!
Suzanne Boben – Dauntless for the people!
You guys rock. :) Let me get Arcturus and Softwhite out here and then I’ll rebuild Solingo. I’m also creating the white version of Foshay Crimson… don’t want anyone to think the others aren’t coming. I have a bunch of stuff in progress. But wanted to know which track to take to avoid the bugs obviously.
