If you are a customer of the Aerolite theme, you probabaly know that you can’t easily change the background image that comes with the the theme. This is because part of that image is embedded in the header, navigation, page and footer images. The reason for that is because the page has drop shadows and rounded corners – two aspects that would require PNG images if we wanted them to be transparent (allowing any background to show through). But we all know how IE 6 for PC’s handles PNG images – it doesn’t.
Therefore, all Aerolite iamges are JPG images and the background of the browser has to be a part of the header, navigation bar, page and footer images. You can’t change your browser background image or color unless you create new images for everything else.
Don’t despair, as of the day this was written, Aerolite customers now have the option to log in to their accounts and download numerous new background themes for Aerolite. In the download you will find approximately 30 different color and pattern schemes, each with replacement images for the browser background, header, navigation bar, page and footer. If you follow the instructions, you can replace the original images in your Aerolite theme with the images from one of these new schemes. That should give you a unique look from most others.
Here are a couple of examples from the download that were applied to Aerolite pages.
