Well, I couldn’t help sneak a preview in tonight. In early June, I set up a deal with a very talented graphic designer to start doing a number of theme designs for me. He also happens to be my cousin and some of you musician types might actually know him. He goes by the name Chikoppi over at MacJams.com. He’s some kind of celebrity over there – I’m not worthy!
However, he’s mine for some cool new theme designs coming your way. I had this theme Mailroom ALMOST launched and then iWeb 2.0 shows up and crashed the party. I’m not sure how I’m going to create these layouts barring hours of hand-editing. I’ll deal with that when I come to it.
Don’t expect this theme anytime in the next month. I have to finish the existing themes first and then this one will take some time and effort. BUT I LOVE IT! I have tons of great images that go with it that you can drag and drop onto the pages… stickie notes, paperclips, erasers, ripped papers, I even made envelopes out of iWeb shapes so you could color them any way you wanted. This theme also comes with a huge custom character set. You can see an example in the screenshot below – the W.
Sorry to tease, but I couldn’t resist. Now, I have to practice my guitar and go to bed. It was a big day today and AquaPRO is on the list for Thursday ack.
Be peaceful.

ZonesLight Aqua for iWeb 2.0 Released
Grumble Grumble Grumble

Yo, that’s Supa-HOTT!!!
AH HA! I knew I’d snag someone with that design. Ooooo it’s so fun to put stuff on these pages. It’s addicting :D
WOW! Okay, I’m hooked…. how much longer do I have to wait??
Why, oh why do you keep on doing this to me?!? I’d better hit the lottery soon so that I can spend all my time switching themes and creating more page on my site, because I just love all of your templates!!!!!
-Ron
Daaaaamn girl!!!!!
That’s HOT! I like it ALOT!
Now i will have to do another site!….hmmm that template would go great with my art site, so i will just have to do a number of different sites! Thats it….i’m doomed to create site after site with the rate your going Suzanne ;)
Thought i’d post a question here aswell, well actually two of them:
1. Do you know how the frames for images work yet, and if i can put my custom frames in? You see i have a cover site aswell, which i made a DVD box frame and a CD jewel case frame for, i would love to use those again! put in alot of work on those puppies!
2. You wouldn’t happen to know if there is any way to set the html widget’s frameing to follow the content of the source? I know this is a question for iweb forums, but hey…why go there when you have the EXPERT right here ;)
You can check my site and see why i need the frame to follow the content….it´s the blog page, which by the way is in both Swedish and English now :) Please look at Lego’s Covers too so you can see my custom frames…the link is on the front page!
I understand if you can’t check it right away, so please in your own time :)
Thanx for all your hard work Suzanne! Your’e the greatest!
Cheers :)
Yippee!! Glad you like it. This theme was going to be my move toward more of a “scrapbooking” approach for iWeb themes. iWeb 2.0 makes that all the more logical since I can’t create all the crazy layouts. Instead, I would create lots of supporting imagery that “matches” the theme… i.e. sticky notes, papers, custom lettering, etc. The pages have a basic theme to them, but you dream up any variation possible using all the images I provide with it.
COULD BE FUN!! :)
Okay answers…
1. Yes I know how the frames work now and yes, I can create custom frames again. If you want to send me your images, I can turn them into frames, but I won’t have time for a bit. Sometimes if I need a break, I’ll do something like that for a bit though.
2. Yes, there is a way to make the frame adjust to the content as you suggest, but I’m not sure you can do it in iWeb. I used a script to do that on some pages for the company where I used to work, but I cannot remember the name of the script. I probably got it at Dynamic Drive. It forced the frame to be as tall as the content required which is what I think you’re suggesting.
:) I love code.
Kari – I don’t know yet when I can get to this one. I have to get AquaPRO, CrimsonPRO, Arcturas, Lightside, Italian Tile and Softwhite built yet (falls out of chair overwhelmed).
After days like yesterday, I get a bit fried so sometimes I’ll start something totally new just to get my mind back in order. I just don’t know at this point how soon it’ll be ;-) But I’m really glad you guys like it. If that theme does well, then I will be having my cousin design all kinds of cool themes. That way I can focus on building theme and not have to work so hard on the images too.
That is a hot theme.. I’m just trying to think who’s site it would best fit…
Thanx for the speedy reply Suzanne :)
That was exactely what i meant about the content frame :)
I’ll send you the frames, just tell me where, and what u need!
Cheers :)
Sorry to bother you with this stuff again Suzanne, but this is all greek to me almost….Can you tell me which script to paste on which page?
http://www.dynamicdrive.com/dynamicindex17/iframessi2.htm
And is that the one?
Thanx i’d owe you !
Cheers
Yes I believe that’s it – although I see you have the new version! Cool. See if you can get that to work in iWeb and then we’ll all be kissing your toes hee hee :D
Well the problem is i have no clue which pages to implement the script on :( Been mocking around for quite some time now, with no results….
:P
Yeeeeeeehaaaaaw….
I think i got it :)
I just pasted the code right in iweb’s html snippet, changed a few parameters to fit my site, and woila!
Here’s the code:
