Why does the browser titlebar show my site name and not the page name? »

I just uploaded the Aerolite Bright Silver template for iWeb 2.0. It doesn’t include the dark pages yet though. If you are an Aerolite Collection customer or an Aerolite Silver customer, you will find these files in the download area of your store account. Please log in and click your Aerolite links to access these files.

Today I found and fixed the padding problem that caused a bit of overlap in the nav bar when you have two lines of navigation links. Now it’s perfect! This fix has not been uploaded for the Aqua versions of Aerolite yet, but it IS in the Silver code I just posted.

That’s all I can do for today. I have to go stay with my dad now tonight. Many of you know his health is quite fragile. My mom left out of town for a funeral so I’m on dad-duty. Not sure how much I’ll get done until Monday as I don’t know exactly when she’ll return.

I will be monitoring comments and sneaking in some work here and there so please keep sending feedback. Issues still waiting permanent solutions/decisions:

1. What controls the browser title bar? The site name is appearing here except for the blank page - that template produces the word “Text” up there. I believe this is a core iWeb bug that Apple has to fix, but I don’t know for sure.

2. Decision needs to be made on font size and weight for album captions on My Albums page.

3. YOUR BUG HERE

  • Im working as fast as i can testing the templates as i go along creating my site, so far i have not discovered any bugs :)

Just swapped from Aerolite Aqua to Silver with no hickups…just a few adjustments to my graphics, but that will occur with any template! when you use custom layouts…

  • Oh, and Suzanne hope all goes well with you and your father! My thoughts are with you!

And thanks for all the hard work with the templates! You are a diamond amongst rocks!

  • I’m using the Aerolite Aqua Beta and I have produced and uploaded a pretty hefty site (for iWeb). Its about 45 pages in depth and still growing. I haven’t found any bugs. Only a few personal preference things. In regards to the font and weight on the My Albums page. Well, I adapted my layout and have gotten accustomed to it. So, I’m happy either way. …………… P.S. My thought and prayers are with you and your father this morning.

  • You guys are of course THE BEST and you’re super too. Whoosh, flash back to the 70’s there.

Okay I know you two are really pounding Aerolite and if you two have not found a bug, we may be good to go.

Thanks for thinking of my dad too. I appreciate that. He has been living with heart disease for the last 30 years. His first heart attack came when I was only 10 years old. He has congestive heart failure now - that’s where your heart just can’t produce the oxygen it needs to keep the body going. It works harder and grows larger and eventually, your rib cage confines it. You can’t breath.

He’s very adjusted to his condition, but his mind still thinks he can mow the lawn and chop down trees. Therefore we laugh, but we keep an eye on him! :)

I’ll be gone most of the day today. Hold down the fort.

  • Hi Suzanne :)

Well i finally test-published what i’ve done so far, and since i do not have a .Mac account there are some functions i can’t use :(

like commenting in the galleries and blog, and counter, password protection, not even the search function works without a .Mac membership, which sucks for all us people that already have webspace elswhere.

Anyway you can check the (partiall) site out at http://www.je-online.se/ny/

and you will see the non .Mac version, and you can check the .Mac version out at

    http://web.mac.com/jimmy.engdahl/www.je-online.se/Hem.html

(yees…i took a trial account, so it’s good for 60 days starting today!)

    Talk to ya soon :)

  • Jimmy I have to say you have a great eye for layout and design. Your pages are really fun to browse for that reason! Great work on this new site and as always, thanks a ton for helping me find the bugs. I think we have it and I’m going to make one last change and begin duplicating that theme for the other colors now.

    Cheers to all!! :)
