Lease a Mac? Did I read that right?

June 11, 2007

Well… … … it appears that Apple has some very clever marketing folks on deck right now. I just read on the Apple site that you can now lease a machine ($5000 minimum value of hardware and software) for a 0% two year contract.

[sound of screaching tires across hot summer pavement]

That’s right people, Apple is leasing high-end Macs like a 400hp German-made sedan. I gotta hand it to them – they’re unleashing the power and doing the things they need to do. They’re moving right into your life, using the metaphors and tools you use to achieve things, get things done, afford things… all while you download the latest thump thump song via iTunes. By the way, the lease is two years, no interest and at the end of the period, you can either return it or opt to buy it at fair market value. Some people might like that approach.

So glad I switched. I’m coming up on my two-year anniversary of Mac ownership in August and I can honestly say that Apple changed my life. I’ll have to write about that on the anniversary, but for now, I’ll just say that it’s soooooooo good to be on the A team LOL and fun to watch so many great things unfold in this arena.

Lease a Mac!

This is aimed at folks with big bucks. Yikes I’m trying to scrounge up some money to upgrade my poor 1st gen Mac Mini that I’ve been working like a horse since I bought it couple years back. I can’t install Adobe Photoshop or anything adobe coz she doesn’t have enough memory…

Hi. Really awsome place you’ve got here. I’ve found it today and already bought one of the templates. They are stunning!
As for this post, I’ve been looking around in Apple’s website, but I can’t find anything rellated :(
Can you post here a more detailled link to it?

    Thanks a lot.

I think the 0% financing offer deadline passed and the fancy sales page is gone now. But I suspect you can choose the lease option during the checkout process at Apple.com if your order qualifies for it.

Go configure your dream machine and then head to checkout. See if the lease option is presented to you. Then you can likely read more about it.
