Listen up folks, I get a number of requests from people to do custom web site builds. I don’t do that kind of work, but maybe YOU do. It struck me that I should really put the people asking for help in touch with the people capable of helping. I’m going to create a page on my site, like a virtual bulletin board where, for a fee, you can post your digital business card. I have no idea if there’s an interest here, but I’ll determine sizes and fees based on demand. Those looking for you will find you and I’ll direct them to you when your skillset or services seem to fit what they’re looking for. Read more…
I may be open to building custom iWeb templates as well. Note the difference here - custom iWeb template is NOT the same as building a custom web site. I’m open to discussing custom iWeb templates but realize this would be expensive. It wouldn’t always be the case, but just to make sure we get serious inquiries on this, I’ll tell you it’ll be in the neighborhood of about $2500 right now. When iWeb 2.0 is released early next year, this will likely drop. I’m expecting numerous new features that will cut the build time significantly.
Lastly, whether you’re using one of my templates or one of Apple’s, if you’re tired of always having to insert your your own logo in the headers of new pages, I’m willing to generate an updated version of the template for you that would include anything personal like your logo or picutres. There’s a $25 fee for every seven pages (one template package). For example, if you want all four packages of AquaPRO customized, it’s $100.
Why so cheap? Well because you’re going to do the work ;-) I’ll have you create a new site in iWeb that includes the seven page types, Welcome, About Me, Blog and so on. You put anything on those pages you want. Insert your logo, change the text make the page wider, even change the layouts! - whatever you want. Save your work and upload the domain file to your public iDisk. I’ll download your file and re-generate the templates for you based on YOUR designs. I’ll repackage them and upload them to your account where you will always have access to them. This service does NOT include any XML updates. Please contact me if you are interested in this service.
Okay RECAP:
If you’re a site designer who might be interested in placing your digital business card on my virtual bulletin board, send me a note. I’m guessing I’ll have various sized areas, for example, 250×250, 300×200, etc. Probably some cheaper text links too. TBD.
I will consider doing unique iWeb templates for single-sale consumption. These will run about $2500 USD. If you can wait until February, this will likely be significantly cheaper.
Customize existing templates with your logo, picutres or layouts. You do the design work, I’ll generate the template for you.
Enjoy!
I would like to help, I would like to learn as much as I can about this site building, I have a slew of high school kids whom I’ve taken under my wing as a staff, this could prove to be a very lucrative educational program for them. I personall am working on getting my FCPHD certification, I am training some of these kids on Adobe photoshop, they are picking up at a considerable pace.
Is there a step by step tutorial we can generate for them?
Is there a way to make membersites inside of the Iweb system?
lemme know something, I’m ready to get thes kids paid and feeling good about themselves through sheer accomplishment.

Hey now I love that kind of thing… education, empowerment and enthusiasm is so good for teaching and learning. Right now I’m building a “Network” page where site designers can post their digital business cards. Until demand warrants it, placing your card on this page is FREE :) I’ll send you the slot sizes and placement picture via email and you can choose one.
I’m not sure what you mean by a tutorial for them - tutorial for building iWeb sites? If so, your best source of information is the Apple iWeb forums:

The questions you’re asking will most likely be answered best by the folks there.
One thing I would like to do with designers is collaborate for custom iWeb template orders. If you have a client looking for a web site, but she or he wants a custom iWeb design, you can work with me to have that built. It’s quite costly right now, but there are clients willing to pay the premium to have it NOW. After iWeb 2.0 is released, these costs should drop relative to the new features. Regardless, if you have a client and that client wants a custom template, contact me and I’ll work with you to generate it. All give you a cut as well. Amout TBD.
I have a major client for you. She want’s to make a fully interactive website using only apple technology (cause… well their the best.) she want’s the site to look some what like yours offering log in, downloads, pictures, links, info, but…. she wants to make it a site similar to myspace, offering customizable pages, so that members can have there own sites. The site is strickly for ballroom, latin, dancesport, dancers and musicians. I have the site, I can figure how to make the different little links, but making the network customizable on demand is the tricky part I’ve run into. How much would you want
Damn I love ballroom and all that dance stuff!! It isn’t Mia or Mary from So You Think You Can Dance is it? I love those two LOL :)
Okay listen, what you’re describing would take some serious geek power. Unless she buys a system that already does this (I don’t know of one sorry) someone will have to write the code that can do it. That’s no small task - it would take a few people a matter of months to build something like that with all the bells and whistles.
Ooooo I love dance… wish I could get involved, but I’m the wrong geek. If she needs an iWeb template, I can do that LOL.
can you call me? 8058075663? If not can I call you, I have a proposal for you, but it’s difficult to talk it out like this.
